Dragons of the Valley

Rules for posting to Dragons of the Valley

1. The blog is open to people I allow who live or have lived in the Lehigh Valley. We'll define the Lehigh Valley as Pennsylvania's Lehigh County and Northampton County, as well as Carbon County. Warren County, NJ can play, too. I guess.

2. The Lehigh Valley is the primary focus. The secondary focus is the whole Northeastern US. Finally, you may write about anything interesting, especially if you or someone else from the Lehigh Valley is directly involved. That means you can write about the upcoming Rainbow Gathering you're attending. You cannot just write about how awesome that Rainbow Gathering you never mentioned before was and how many cool drugs you did, because noone cares. Entries in the first category should be the longest, so please devote some effort to them.

3. Your author privileges will be revoked if:

a) you make a post solely to introduce yourself.
b) you write inane shit about your day, or shamelessly promote crap like your LiveJournal.
c) you make posts to start drama with other contributors.
d) you blog about Heath Ledger so help me god It's okay now.

You may remove yourself from the blog at any time. However, if you make a pointless exit post, it will be deleted and you will never receive author privileges again.

4. Try to use decent spelling and grammar.

5. Be polite. On a related note, this blog is not meant to be overly political. Posting a blurb about a counter-protest outside Planned Parenthood to keep abortion legal is acceptable. Your ten-page manifesto chock-full of inflammatory language about the "pro-liar" movement is not.

6. Please be considerate as to the fact that this is hosted on my personal Website. If you wouldn't want your boss/significant other/parent/dog to read it, I probably wouldn't want mine to, either.

7. Don't worry that something isn't good enough to blog about. If you think it's cool, someone else will, too. Even if it's not quite "news," somebody hasn't heard of it yet. Just have fun with it and use common sense.

8. Rules are subject to change when I feel like it.
