Dragons of the Valley

I grew up in the '90s admiring geek girls with domains. But with the advent of mind-numbing social networking sites and fill-in-the-blank blogs, what's the point of a relatively average person maintaining a good old-fashioned homepage?

How about to provide links to all her social networking sites?

Hey, it's a start.

Dragons of the Valley was written in Notepad. I mostly use Firefox 2.0 for a browser, at 1024 x 768.

The current background is Gin Lane by William Hogarth.

I just can't bring myself to title a Website "Liza's Website." When I was a kid, "Dragons in Manhattan" was my favorite story in my favorite book at the time, Girl Goddess #9 by Francesca Lia Block. I've lived in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania my whole life. Also, Lilies of the Valley happen to be my favorite flower. "Dragons in Manhattan" - Manhattan + Lehigh Valley + Lilies of the Valley = Dragons of the Valley. Welcome to Dragons of the Valley.

"I feel like a dragon, Anastasia," Izzy said. "Freaky and angry."

"Dragons are sacred and powerful," said Anastasia. "Let's move to Manhattan where they surround the Dakota and breathe up through the grates in the sidewalk. You'll feel at home there."

"Dragons in Manhattan," Izzy said. "I like that."
